We are proud to announce that Sport Clips Team Leader Cheston C. Syma was
recently featured in “Franchise Players” by
Entrepreneur—a Q&A interview column that puts the spotlight on franchisees.
A former U.S. Marine, Sgt. Cheston C. Syma purchased his first two Sport
Clips franchises in 2004. Prior to this, he worked for the State Department’s
High-Threat Protection Teams in Baghdad, Iraq and Kabul, Afghanistan for
six years, protecting U.S. diplomats and Congressional members in war zones.
In his interview for Franchise Players, Syma discusses why he chose to
become a part of the Sport Clips family, even offering advice for those
who want to run a franchise of their own. “I chose Sport Clips Haircuts
business model and concept resonated with me,” he explains. “You must love
the concept to have passion for the business, and know that the more time
you invest in your own business, the more successful it will become.”
In the future, Syma hopes to continue expanding.
Today, he successfully runs 10 Sport Clips locations in three different
states. In partnership with 1,400 other Sport Clips locations throughout
the country, Syma is currently working to raise money for the “Help
a Hero” veterans scholarship program. By Veterans Day (November
11), Sport Clips hopes to raise $750,000 nationwide. While donations are
currently being collected at all of our Sport Clips locations, we will
be donating $1 per haircut to the “Help a Hero” campaign on
