Sport Clips Haircuts is proud to announce our donation to The Veteran of
Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW). Every year, we raise funds for
our “Help a Hero” campaign that seeks to offer scholarships
to qualified, active-duty military and veterans who want to obtain a college
degree or certification. While Sport Clips has been holding this fundraiser
every year, this year we are excited to say that we have raised a record-breaking
donation of $830,000. This could not have happened without the help of
our dedicated team members, generous proud partners, and giving clients.
It was genuinely a team effort that made this significant donation possible.
Sport Clip partner Nioxin gave $25,000 for the cause. In addition to them,
American Crew and John Paul Mitchell System both donated $20,000 each
to the foundation.
Sport Clips Founder and CEO Gordon Logan shares what a reward it is to
be able to help the brave men and women who sacrifice everything to help
our country. He believes it is an honor to help these individuals pursue
their goals and dreams. Mr. Logan was in the U.S. Air Force, himself,
and is a lifetime member the VFW.
Sport Clips Help Hero scholarships are given to deserving, qualified active-duty
military and veterans. Each scholarship amounts to up to $5,000. Up until
now, the foundation has given over $1.1 million in scholarships. We expect
to give at least 103 awards for the coming semester.
Sport Clips is proud to support such a noble cause like
The Veteran of Foreign Wars. It is a non-profit organization that consists of eligible veterans and
military members. Started in 1899, the VFW looks to advocate for legislation
and services to help military men and women. We are grateful we get the
opportunity to give back.
