Gordon B. Logan CEO & Founder
Prior to opening the prototype Sport Clips in 1993, Gordon Logan owned and operated salons throughout Texas. From 2008 to 2014, he served as president of the International SalonSpa Business Network (ISBN), the trade association for chains and franchises representing over 10,000 salons, and remains active, working with the Board on government regulatory reform. Since 2011, he has served on the VFW Foundation Board, which directs the charitable efforts of the VFW for active-duty service men and women and veterans. He was elected to the board of the International Franchise Association (IFA) in 2013 and currently serves on its Educational Foundation Board; he is past chairman of the IFA VetFran committee. He also is a leader in the Future of the Beauty Industry Coalition that is working to standardize common-sense licensing requirements for the industry. In 2015, he received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Central Texas and also was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by ISBN. In 2016, he was named the Entrepreneur of the Year by the IFA and was appointed to the Southwest Research Institute Board of Advisors. He also served on the Board of Visitors for Southwestern University from 2010 to 2013.
Before he was a salon owner, Logan served as an aircraft commander in the U.S. Air Force (1969-1976), after which he worked as a financial planning and control consultant with Price Waterhouse & Co. in Houston, Texas (1976 to 1980). He is a graduate of MIT (BS, '68) and The Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania (MBA with Honors, '76). He is also a retired CPA in the state of Texas.
Edward Logan President
Prior to joining Sport Clips’ executive leadership team, Edward Logan served as senior director of operations for Sport Clips under Connie Boltinghouse, who previously served as vice president of operations. Logan joined Sport Clips fulltime in January 2010 after working as a consultant with Deloitte Consulting in Dallas. In 2015, he was promoted to vice president of operations and in that role was in charge of the company-owned Sport Clips stores in Austin, Texas; Las Vegas; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Oklahoma City. In 2017, he was named chief operating officer for the Sport Clips system, overseeing operations for the company’s 1,700+ stores, a position he will continue to hold. Effective April 1, 2018, he was elected by the board of directors as president of Sport Clips, Inc. Logan is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Scott Perry Chief Financial Officer, CFE
Scott Perry served as vice president of finance and treasurer for Sport Clips from November 2006 to November 2014 before being named chief financial officer and treasurer. From January 2001 to October 2006, Perry was the vice president of finance and treasurer of Britestream Networks, Inc., where he drove all finance, accounting, IT, HR, legal and operational facets of Britestream. Previously, Perry served as the senior director of finance and operations for AIM Technologies, Inc., a provider of interactive systems and marketing information to the sports industry, and as a senior audit manager in the Austin, Texas, and San Jose, California, offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Perry is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California; a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE); and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, inactive).
Dan Miller Chief Information Officer
Dan Miller became Sport Clips’ first chief information officer in December 2014. Miller comes to Sport Clips from Massage Envy, where he served as chief information officer for six years. With more than a decade of experience in the information technology sector and 10 years within franchising, Miller has held positions with companies such as TMP International in Tempe, Arizona, and Realty Executives International in Phoenix, and has served on the International Franchise Association (IFA) Technology Committee.
Miller graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and business administration. He received a master’s certificate in applied project management from Villanova University and is also a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Mike Runyan Chief Talent Officer
Mike Runyan joined Sport Clips in July 2017 as the chief talent officer responsible for ensuring Sport Clips is able to attract, develop, and retain Team Members who will provide championship experiences for its clients. He has served in senior leadership human resources roles with ProQuest (information technology), USAA, and Bank of America, in addition to leading the professional recruiting teams at Kforce and Orion International. Prior to Runyan’s professional corporate career, Mike served eight years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, a master’s degree in human resources from Central Michigan University, and a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma.
Greg Smith Chief Development Officer
Greg Smith served as director of real estate at Sport Clips from July 2003 to December 2007 and senior director of real estate from December 2007 to December 2012. He was promoted to vice president of real estate in December 2012 and then promoted to chief development officer leading the real estate and franchising development teams in December 2017. From November 2000 until July 2003, Smith was a senior real estate manager for Sally Beauty Company of Denton, Texas. In 2013, Smith was named in Chain Store Magazine’s “Top Ten under 40” ranking.
Martha England Vice President of Marketing
Martha England has been with Sport Clips since 2008 and has served as vice president of marketing since December 2009. From June 2000 to September 2007, England was vice president of business development for MedCath’s Heart Hospital of Austin and Heart Hospital of New Mexico. Prior to that, she served as vice president and media director for full-service advertising agencies and spent 10 years as a promotions development director with the Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Albuquerque. In addition, she owned and operated Spotbuyer of New Mexico, a media buying business, from January 1996 until December 2004.
England holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Purdue University.
Jean Booth Vice President of Franchise Development, CFE
Jean Booth joined Sport Clips as director of market development before being promoted to vice president of franchise development in March 1996. Booth served as vice president of Wicks ‘N’ Sticks from 1994 to 1995, where she was responsible for franchise development and real estate. She was a senior consultant with Management 2000 from 1992 through 1994, specializing in consulting with high-growth franchise companies. While based in Dallas, she served as vice president of franchise development for Texas State Optical from November 1991 through November 1992 and as vice president of franchise and company store operations from July 1989 through November 1991. Prior to that, Booth served as director of franchise services and regional manager at Texas State Optical from February 1986 through July 1989.
Jerry Eulentrop Director of Franchise Development
Jerry Eulentrop’s diverse franchising experience spans 23 years. He joined Sport Clips as director of franchise development in July 2012. Prior to joining Sport Clips, he served as area development manager for MBE/The UPS Store for 14 years, from 1998 to 2012. Eulentrop’s franchise career started in 1992 as franchise sales manager for ERA Franchise Systems, where he had development responsibilities throughout the Midwest and was tapped to develop a system to target the conversion of large independent real estate agencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a minor in philosophy from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
Jim Atkinson Sr. Director of Franchise Development
Jim Atkinson joined Sport Clips as the senior director of franchise development in July 2013. Prior to joining Sport Clips, he served as director of non-traditional development for The UPS Store, Inc. from December 2010 to July 2013. From July 2009 to December 2010 he served as manager of industrial engineering and operational excellence for The UPS Store, Inc., and from September 2006 to July 2009 he served as international development manager for The UPS Store, Inc.
Karen Young Director of Franchise Recruitment
Karen Young joined Sport Clips in March 2014. She is responsible for advertising, marketing, and lead-generating initiatives, and she oversees the franchise recruitment process. Prior to joining Sport Clips, she worked for an international real estate franchise organization based in Irvine, California, and gained experience in product and program management, marketing, brand management, and franchise sales. Young holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and a certification in project management.
Stacey Gamboa Manager of Franchise Administration
Stacey Gamboa joined Sport Clips in July of 2012 as an administrative specialist. In April 2014 she was promoted to manager of franchise administration. She manages, facilitates, and maintains heavy involvement in all aspects of the administrative role for franchising including document production and compliance tracking.
Norkaris Ortiz Specialist, Franchise Administration
Norkaris Ortiz provides administrative support to all Sport Clips Team Leaders, from the time the initial franchise agreement is signed through each new store opening and license renewal. She has been a part of the Sport Clips team since April 2014.
Jennifer Guzman Specialist, Franchise Recruitment
Jennifer Guzman joined the Sport Clips team in September 2014. As the first point of contact when inquiries are made about the Sport Clips opportunity, Guzman assists candidates with any initial questions to help guide them through the discovery process. Her role is to ensure potential Team Leaders know the basics of the business model, are qualified and directed to the appropriate representative to further explore the Sport Clips franchising opportunity.
Jessica Rossy Director of Real Estate
Jessica Rossy is director of real estate at Sport Clips and manages the real estate team on strategic growth and planning for new store locations. She has been with Sport Clips since 2005 managing the real estate process in various areas of the country. Her career in the commercial real estate industry began in 2002, with Sally Beauty Company as a Sr. Real Estate Manager, where she managed the site selection for the Southeast region. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of Texas – Arlington and has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 2003.
Joel H. Reichman Real Estate Director
Joel Reichman’s retail and real estate experience spans 45 years. He joined Sport Clips as real estate director in February, 2012. Prior to joining Sport Clips, he was a partner in Lerner Real Estate Group, LLC from 2003-2011. He is an accomplished senior level executive with more than forty years of progressive retail management experience directing corporate strategy, business planning, merchandising, operations, team building, real estate and store expansions. His strong business acumen has allowed him to increase growth and drive productivity in highly competitive retail environments.
Shea Laffere Real Estate Director
Shea Laffere is Sport Clips' real estate director and has been in the retail real estate industry since 2000. He started his career with United Commercial Realty in San Antonio and then subsequently worked at KB Toys and then Sally Beauty Company. Laffere has been with Sport Clips for 11 years assisting in real estate in various states throughout the country. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geographical Information Systems from Texas State University – San Marcos.
